The  scandals  continue  to  flow  in  sport  again  and  again,  one  time  it  involves  players,  another  time  it  involves  officials.  I  personally  believe  that  scandals  like  these  are  not  a  serious  one,  also  feel  that  it  brings  buzz  to  that  sport,  player  or  celebrity.  But  alleged  betting  involvement  to  fix  matches  and  under-perform  at  the  world’s  stage  is  strictly  unacceptable.  People  who  love  you,  who  turned  you  into  a  super  hero,  get  shattered  when  they  come  to  hear  about  all  these  non  sense.  There  are  different  types  of  betting  like,  match  fixing,  cricket  betting,  football betting,  spot  betting  etc.  The  most  recent  controversy  I  heard  of  some  cricket  team  named  Pakistan  for  their  involvement  in  spot  betting  during  the  test  match  at  lord’s  cricket  ground  against  England.  So  I  was  attracted  by  this  news,  I  researched  about  it  and  came  to  know  that  a  19  year  old  kid  was  involved,  who  is  seemed  to  be  praised  as  the  break  out  star  bowler  of  this  cricket  generation  by  almost  every  legend  of  that  sport.

In  fact,  the  family  was  reunited  after  the  determined  siblings  tracked  down  their  mother  on  the  web.  “I  will  never  lose  my  children  again.  I  truly  believed  in  my  heart  they  were  still  alive.  It  is  a  dream  come  true  to  see  them,”  63-year-old  Rohring  was  quoted  by  the  tabloid  telling  US  chat  show  Today.  Rohring  said  she  received  a  telephone  call  telling  her  the  children  had  died.  “I  didn’t  know  where  the  accident  was  and  where  they  were  buried.  There  was  nothing,”  she  said.

Scott,  now  41,  and  Karen,  39,  were  curious  about  their  mother  after  their  father  told  them  conflicting  stories,  saying  she  was  dead  or  abroad.  Their  friends  placed  an  advert  on  an  internet  site  and  private  detectives  found  enough  clues  for  Scott  to  telephone  his  mother.  “I  had  to  convince  her  at  first,  but  she  soon  knew,”  said  Scott,  who  lives  with  his  father  Black  in  Atlanta.

A  woman  gave  birth  in  an  army  helicopter  while  being  rescued  from  a  flood-hit  area  in  Pakistan’s  central  Punjab  province,  officials  said  on  Tuesday.  An  army  team  mounted  a  rescue  operation  after  receiving  information  on  Monday  that  a  man  named  Mohammad  Javed  and  his  pregnant  wife  Zahida  Parveen  were  stranded  in  a  flooded  area  in  Punjab.  Soon  after  the  army  airlifted  Javed,  his  wife  and  their  child,  Parveen  gave  birth  in  the  helicopter  while  it  was  on  its  way  to  Multan.  Parveen  and  her  baby  was  taken  to  the  Combined  Military  Hospital  Multan  and  all  medical  facilities  were  being  provided  to  them,  officials  said.  The  Pakistan  Army’s  aviation  wing  has  been  at  the  forefront  of  rescue  and  relief  efforts  in  areas  affected  by  the  country’s  worst  floods  in  80  years.  Army  helicopters  have  rescued  hundreds  of  people  in  flood-hit  areas  of  Punjab,  Sindh  and  Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa  provinces.  The  army  helicopters  are  engaged  in  relief  operations  to  provide  food  and  other  supplies  to  around  100,000  people  daily.

Four  people  were  killed  after  a  bloody  altercation  took  place  over  a  1  Yuan  (  US  15  cents)  parking  charge  in  China’s  Yangpu  district.  Shanghai  police  have  detained  a  suspect  after  four  men  were  stabbed  to  death  Wednesday  night  at  a  residential  complex  in  Yangpu  district,  Shanghai  Daily  reported  Friday.  The  dead  include  the  keeper  of  the  complex’s  moped  shed,  Liu  Haihao,  and  three  men  who  fought  with  him.  They  had  an  argument  with  Liu  as  they  suspected  that  he  was  overcharging.  Liu  demanded  1  Yuan  for  each  moped  while  the  others  maintained  that  each  moped  should  only  be  charged  0.5  Yuan.

“‘Help,  help!’  I  just  heard  the  screaming  after  10  pm,”  a  resident  at  the  complex  on  Siping  Road  was  quoted  as  saying.  Investigators  were  trying  to  figure  out  who  exactly  stabbed  whom  in  the  dark.  When  police  arrived  at  the  spot,  three  bodies  were  lying  on  the  ground.  Another  man  was  seen  with  a  knife  sticking  into  his  stomach  and  he  died  after  being  taken  to  Changhai  Hospital.
